About Abomey...
Abomey is the historic capital of the former Kingdom of Dahomey. It's home to the ruins of 12 palaces belonging to the kingdom's former monarchs. It is the cradle of Fon culture and language, and the place where traditional folktales are most preserved and the Fon language is strongest.
